A swimming pool is, in itself, a fairly ordinary thing. A rectangular container of treated water. What makes it extraordinary is what surrounds it.
At Hiranya Resort, the pool looks out across the property's 14 acres toward the forested hillside and the Daultabad Fort above. The pool edge is bordered by mature coconut palms that were established long before the resort was developed. In the evening, as the light fades on the fort walls, the view from the pool edge is something that guests consistently photograph and share.
The pool is outdoors, heated by the sun through the day, and at its most pleasant in the late afternoon from October through February. In the summer months (March–May), it provides genuine relief from the Marathwada heat and remains a popular spot from opening (6am) to closing (7pm).
Pool access is included for all residential guests. The area has yellow pool chairs, a changing room, and poolside beverage service from our restaurant. Non-residential day visitors can use the pool as part of our full-day picnic package.
For families, the pool is shallow enough at one end for children who are confident swimmers, and our staff maintain poolside supervision during busy periods. We recommend children under 8 wear flotation aids, which are available at the reception.
One thing that makes the Hiranya pool experience genuinely distinctive: on most morning visits, you can see langurs moving through the trees above the pool boundary, and on quiet mornings, the birdlife from the adjacent forest is audible even while swimming. It is not a typical hotel pool experience.
